The series "24" walks to the big screen
Entertainment News Reporter Tuesday, 9 February, 01:40 PM Los Angeles (USA), Feb 9 (EFE) .- The film studios and Fox TV hired screenwriter Billy Ray ( "State of Play", 2009) to write the big-screen adaptation of the popular action series "24", according to Variety magazine reported Wednesday. Although the idea of making the feature race against agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) has been flying over the program during much of his eight seasons, the appointment of Ray is a firm step toward the realization of the project. The final decision, however, is waiting to know how much life is still the television series. Today is the eighth season of broadcasts "24" in the U.S. and Fox still has not closed the deal with the producer of the serial for ninth delivery as planned. In any event, the making of the film would not occur until the program came to an end on the small screen since Fox's goal is that the film project has a large part of the actors who recorded the show. Variety also speculated the possibility that even though Fox decided to prolong the life of "24" on television, there is the possibility that the program can be sold to other studies, so that the film would be parked. The final approval of the film will also depend on the approval of the executive producers of "24" which is itself Sutherland, who on more than one occasion already expressed its desire to bring his character to movie theaters.
