Michael Douglas attends court to support his son in New York

Friday 29 January, 10:28 PM NEW YORK (AP) - Michael Douglas were sent Friday to federal court in New York to offer support to his son, who this week pleaded guilty to a drug charge. The actor appeared in the Manhattan courtroom where the hearing was conducted on a possible bail his son Cameron Douglas, 31. The session was closed to the public, and court officials declined interviews on the outcome of the hearing. When he left the place, Michael Douglas refused to answer questions. Cameron Douglas pleaded guilty Wednesday to smuggle large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine. In July he was arrested at a trendy Manhattan hotel. He has since been held without bail.
