Cruz and Bardem were married in the Bahamas

Tuesday, July 13, 11:11 PM NEW YORK (AP) - A match made in heaven Academy Awards: Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were married in the Bahamas. The couple married in early July at the home of a friend in the Bahamas, Amanda Silverman confirmed, a representative of the actress, 36, in an e-mail to The Associated Press. Silverman said the ceremony was small and that only family members attended. The bride's gown was designed by his friend John Galliano. Cruz and Bardem, 41, are Spanish. They appeared together in Woody Allen's romantic comedy "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" (2008), tape in which Cruz won the Oscar for best supporting actress.
